Top tips for dealing with icy/snowy driving conditions.

Firstly you must clear any snow off your vehicle and fully defrost screens and lights.

Drive to the conditions. That means driving more slowly , accelerating and braking gently, perhaps using gears to slow down. When moving off drive in a higher gear asap to prevent wheel spins, keeping an increased safety gap with the vehicle in front.

Anticipate sudden changes on each section of road. It will take you longer to stop.

Your journey will take you longer therefore give yourself more time to get there .

Ensure you have warm clothing , a blanket ( just in case) a water bottle , a shovel and high viz tops . More detail in the article.
